While most of us live in homes with square footage hovering in the low four digits, there are a few homeowners who live much larger—in every sense of the word.
And with a need for space to spread out at the top of most home shopper’s minds, we present the 10 biggest homes to land on the market this week. A couple of these hulking homes tip the scales at over 30,000 square feet—and the smallest of the bunch measures in at a not-at-all-petite 17,000.
While there’s nothing priced below $2.5 million, the list prices reflect the locales of these massive mansions. Obviously, a buyer will pay more per square foot in Southern California, but the out-of-the-way places where you can acquire enormous estates might surprise you.
The prices are all over the map, but the homes all share an aesthetic rooted in roominess. Acreage, guest wings, and caretaker cottages: These sprawling spreads have it all.
So if you’re interested in joining the ranks of the supersized-square-foot club, one of these is sure to please. Enjoy.
