Former MLB outfielder Aaron Rowand is ready to snag a buyer for his Las Vegas mansion.

And how’s this for strategy? After a taking a swing and a miss in 2014 with an asking price of $6.4 million, he’s now relisted the luxe property at the higher price of $6.5 million. Riskier than a hit-and-run with a strikeout-prone batter, it’ll be fascinating to see if the game plan pays off.

“This grand home epitomizes luxury at its most livable,” listing agent Julie Baecker of Simply Vegas says of the Hollywood Regency–style property. “Every step you take within this modern masterpiece will inspire new ideas in how you will entertain, how you will relax, and how you will savor every moment.

“There is, simply put, no luxury home like it on the market,” she adds. Hyperbole aside, what exactly will a buyer acquire?

Built in 2011, the 11,000-square-foot home has five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Loaded with eye-popping decor, the gilded and rococo interior design features grand chandeliers, an abundance of mirrors, and pops of pink and purple throughout the living quarters. 

Along with formal living and dining rooms, the home has a huge kitchen with a banquette, decorated with dabs of a magenta hue. The kitchen adjoins a vast family room, which opens out to the outdoor living area. In addition, there’s a home theater, gym, wine cellar, and elevator. 

The lower level gives off more of a man cave vibe and features a game room, bar, and batting cage. 

The large backyard boasts an infinity pool, swim-up bar, kitchen and dining space, a fire pit, and golf course views.

Rowand, 42, is a two-time World Series champion. He played an 11-year career with the Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and the San Francisco Giants. Since hanging up his spikes in 2012, he’s been mentoring White Sox minor leaguers as the organization’s outfield and base-running coordinator.
