Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has snagged a gorgeous custom estate in Paradise Valley, AZ, for $5.1 million.

Located on a private, 1.72-acre corner lot, the contemporary six-bedroom design in the desert offers 12,000 square feet of living space, with unobstructed views of Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak.

The upscale build incorporates high-end materials, appliances, and finishes. The eye-catching, minimalist design was inspired by the innovative Australian architect and Pritzker Prize-winner Glenn Murcutt, according to the listing.

The modern mansion melds the outside environment into the living area, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that can pivot and retract. The sleek living area includes a dramatic fireplace, bar, a dining room, and open kitchen with two islands. Walls of glass open outside.

Notable design elements in the residence include exposed concrete, concrete floors, and raw steel.

The huge master suite includes massive glass doors that open to the outdoors and two en suite bathrooms.

Outside, the zero-edge, resort-style lap pool is a showstopper.

Originally listed in 2016 for just under $8 million, the property bounced on and off the market for years before Hopkins swooped in and scored a bargain.

The location is private, yet close to restaurants, shopping, and several private airports nearby.

Clearly, the upscale area appeals to NFL ballers. In fact, the Cardinals’ head coach, Kliff Kingsbury, also owns a new build in the neighborhood. His swanky digs, spotted during last year’s NFL Draft, caused a frenzy on social media.

Hopkins does more than dabble in real estate. He maintains several investment properties in Houston, TX, along with other business ventures, with an eye to his post-football career.

A Houston home he picked up in 2018, but reportedly never inhabited, became the subject of controversy after parties were held there during the pandemic lockdown. The modern, upscale seven-bedroom home spans three levels.

Forgoing his senior year at Clemson University, Hopkins entered the 2013 NFL Draft, where he was selected by the Houston Texans in the first round, as the 27th overall pick. Traded last March to the Arizona Cardinals in late 2020, the All-Pro receiver signed a two-year, $54.5 million contract with the team.

Hopkins was represented by Lauren House with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, and the seller was represented by Frank Aazami with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.
