New York Jets running back Frank Gore has sprinted into a new home in Southwest Ranches, FL. The Miami native snapped up a South Florida estate for $3,225,000 in early March.
Along with a new home for the off-season, the well-traveled NFL star also has a new team. The 37-year-old signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets last month.
Gore’s new home hit the market last fall for $3,399,000, which meant that the wily vet was able to snag a small discount.
When not shedding would-be tacklers, Gore will certainly be able to kick back at this posh property.
The six-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom layout spans 10,108 square feet in the exclusive Landmark Ranch Estates neighborhood. The approach to the custom home, which was built in 2008, is a circular motor court with a fountain.
Inside, the space features soaring double-height ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and arched doorways. A formal living room features a fireplace, the delightful dining room features an adjacent bar area, and a separate great room includes a casual dining area plus a family room.
The top-of-the-line kitchen features Viking and Sub-Zero appliances, a center island with bar seating, as well as a large pantry.
Other luxe amenities include an office, tiered theater room, and a game room outfitted with multiple arcade-style games. The layout also includes a large gym and sauna.
The enormous master suite features a sitting area, a huge walk-in closet, and spa-style bath. In addition, the smart home has been outfitted with built-in speakers.
Set on 2.35 acres, the grounds include tropical landscaping, a separate guesthouse, heated pool, summer kitchen, outdoor fireplace, and full-size basketball court with lighting, as well as a five-car garage.
The future Hall of Famer has also proven to have a keen eye for real estate.
Last November, the player listed his lakefront home in Davie, FL, which he bought in 2014 for $1,025,000. In March, the home sold for $1.7 million, slightly less than the $1.8 million he was looking for, but nevertheless leaving the five-time Pro Bowler with a tidy profit from the investment.
The six-bedroom home, set on half an acre, features six bedrooms, a game room with a bar, kitchen with double islands, a pool, outdoor kitchen, and a basketball court.
The former 49er also scored a sale of his Santa Clara townhome last year, selling it for his asking price of $1.3 million. He had purchased the three-bedroom abode in 2007 for $860,000.
Gore, 37, got his pro start with the San Francisco 49ers in 2005, and played with the team until 2014. He then joined the Indianapolis Colts for three seasons, before playing one season each with the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills. He currently sits third on the list of players with the most rushing yards in NFL history.
